Aaron Scarberry
Aaron Scarberry, tenor from Philadelphia, has performed internationally as a singer and instrumentalist. His operatic roles include appearances with Xi’an Symphony, Bronx Opera, and Opera McGill. As a concert soloist, he has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra and Shanghai Symphony. Notable achievements include being a finalist in the International Chinese Art Song Vocal Competition and featuring on CCTV4’s “Very Extraordinary” show.
An accomplished bassoonist, Mr. Scarberry served as principal with Berks Opera Company from 2008-2014. He studied under Ben Heppner and Sanford Sylvan, earning degrees from McGill University and West Virginia University. From 2015 to 2018, he was a Young Artist with iSING! Suzhou International Young Artist Festival, enhancing his expertise in Chinese art songs.
