LCA × BCBC 2026 — Eli Lynn: The Basics of Stage Combat

| | 0 Comments | 12:13 pm

Monday, June 25, 2026 9:30-11:30am

An introductory workshop on unarmed stage combat technique, led by one of Philadelphia’s most decorated fight directors. Participants should expect a hands-on class in unarmed combat — no weapons, no prior experience required.

Eli has trained for 15+ years with the Society of American Fight Directors and holds Advanced Actor Combatant status with Fight Directors Canada (Teaching Apprentice), the British Association of Stage and Screen Combat, the Society of Australian Fight Directors, and the Nordic Stage Fight Society. They teach regularly in the Philadelphia area, including at the Philadelphia Stage Combat Workshop.

A Barrymore Award winner for Outstanding Choreography (Citrus Andronicus, Philadelphia Artists Collective) and multiple Barrymore nominee, Eli’s work has been seen at the Wilma Theatre, Arden Theatre, Philadelphia Theatre Company, PA Shakespeare Festival, Woolly Mammoth, Gulfshore Playback, and the American Shakespeare Center, among others. They have also assisted on productions under Broadway fight masters Ian Rose and J. David Brimmer.

This session has a suggested donation of $15. All are welcome to give whatever they can — every contribution supports our mission to keep opera and music education accessible to our community.
